We are located in Joshua Tree, California about 2.5 hours from Los Angeles and just 35 minutes from Palm Springs.

SHIPPING / PICKUP

Buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping & pickup. Due to the large size and value of the trailer, I recommend hiring a fully insured professional transit service unless you are well versed in towing a trailer of this size and weight. If you meet my asking price, then I will split this transit cost with you up to $3500. Buyer assumes all risk and all liabilities upon purchase of the trailer.

GENERAL INFO

Please note - the solar panels must be taken off of the roof prior to transit and re-installed once at your location. The solar utility enclosure and components as well as the external flushing toilet must be shipped separately. If you decide that you do not want any of the solar components or the external bathroom, then we can negotiate a fair value reduction in the sale price. The bathroom is a brand new flushing portable toilet from Poly John. Typically, any waste management company can service it weekly for around $60 per month. Our Story

The origin of the tiny house concept began with Spartan trailers. Oil tycoon John Paul Ghetty purchased the Spartan Aircraft Company in 1935 and later commissioned the construction of these lavish houses on wheels as a means to host investors on his oil drilling expeditions. It wasn't long before a go go 1950s America followed suit as this new concept of luxury and travel began to blossom during this period. The Spartan model that we chose to restore is an exceedingly rare two door "Royal Spartanette". Less than 600 of this longer, more spacious "Royal" version were produced between 1950 and 1953.

My wife I had discovered Spartans one day while researching possible ways to accommodate overnight guests coming in from out of town to work with me at my recording studio here in Joshua Tree, California where I work as a music producer and engineer. We were immediately attracted to the robust build quality and striking presence of Spartan Trailers. After months of searching, we eventually found the perfect one for us to buy and begin restoring.

Our journey into "living tiny" began shortly after purchasing our Royal Spartanette when we unexpectedly faced disappointing news. Without warning, the owner of the house that we were renting in town decided to put our home up for sale. Being unprepared to buy the home, we leapt feet first into renovating our Spartan to live in ourselves.
